I’ve always wanted to do a blog. Now’s the perfect time. Why? Well, I’ll get there. Hopefully the title has you hooked for a few minutes.

I’m not always bored at work by the way. I have a wonderful job, but when the Tony nominations are about to come on, you watch them. However, I guess this thought was on everyone else’s mind, because the page crashed and I missed them. Womp womp. Amongst my bitter sadness, (you’ll come to learn my dream is to work on Broadway, but I have no talent), I find a link that says *Tickets for the general public will be on sale at 9am.* This sends your friend Brittany, (aka me), into a FRANTIC EXCITED FRENZY with a side of YOLO and I decide on the spot that I.am.going.to.the.Tony.Awards.

-HITS REFRESH LIKE A CRAZY PERSON

-PAGE ALL THE SUDDEN BECOMES BLOCKED ON WORK COMPUTER

-BRITTANY FREAKS OUT AND ALMOST BREAKS CELL PHONE WITH HULK LIKE GRIP TO BRING UP WEBPAGE

then…. success. A ticket to the Tony Awards has been successfully purchased and I am crying on the floor at my mother’s desk in excitement, (yes, my mom and I work together. Cool right?) Is this appropriate at work? Probably not. But if my boss was not on vacation, I’m pretty sure she would understand and be consoling me.

What does the social media marketer with dramatic Broadway tendencies do after she buys a ticket to the Tonys? She frolics and tells anyone who will listen….then cries at her desks, but ONLY in a way that no one can see. Can’t be THAT dramatic. Jeeze.

So, this is why I have started this blog. I am going to document my road to the Tony Awards. My dateless road. You’ll get to know me better soon, but for now all I want you to know is that I AM GOING TO THE TONY AWARDS!!
